Kerargon comprises three 18th century properties set down a private drive in beautiful unspoilt countryside, just 7 minutes from golden beaches. General surroundings
Kerargon is situated in a tranquil, rural setting, between Quimper and the South West Brittany coast. The local beach is 7 minutes drive and the nearest towns (Ploneour Lanvern and Pont L'Abbe), are 10 to 15 minutes by car. The cathedral city of Quimper, the lively regional centre with its cobbled streets and old gabled houses, is 15 to 20 minutes drive, and the local shops at Pouldreuzic - the nearest village - are less than 5 minutes away.
Kerargon is well placed for a wide range of interesting places to visit, including Pont - Aven, made famous by Gaugin and his school of artists, the 14th century walled town of Concarneau, the picturesque harbour of Benodet, and Loctudy, a lively fishing port where fresh fish can be bought daily.
There are many golden beaches around this coastline, La Torche being the favourite for surfing. Also close at hand are a variety of leisure activities including fishing, golf, horse and pony riding, bike and surfboard hire, an indoor swimming pool, art galleries and museums.
The market in Pont L'Abbe is held on Thursdays where both squares bustle with local produce and traditional arts and crafts. During the Summer there are numerous fetes and fairs across the region taking place during the day and in the evenings.
